Fewer copied meters come from shift cuts aligned to output
A spinning meter is not a number the crew can use. MES wants: this shift, this ticket, this line. Cuts follow the roster, output follows report, kWh follows the circuit. After the notebook dies, the argument moves to definitions
Once kWh is in MES, production will say idle should not hit the crew; maintenance will say process is the cause. Software cannot settle politics. It can give the same cut and the same circuit. Moving the fight from “is the number right” to “is the quota fair” is already progress. Quota changes must leave a trail, or energy work becomes number-editing.
If air, water and steam stay on paper, electric go-live gets dragged back at handover as “total energy.” Phase one can be electric only—say so, so the board does not pretend to be complete. Do not glue the handover cut to the calendar day
Cuts should follow roster master data; shift swaps and overtime must change the cut and leave a trail. Zero output with nonzero kWh should show separately so idle is not charged to yield.
