Pages can be rebuilt. A wrong legal entity is hard to fix. These traps are common, and they usually explode at a bid, a payment, or an outbound email.
A hidden problem: free hosting or a personal builder account to save money. Ads, popups, and injected links appear without you. A gambling ad is worse than no site. Cheap template hosting often does this. Compare template vs custom.
At close, take: domain admin (company account), server or cloud, code or CMS access, how certificates auto-renew, ICP password, company-email DNS. Missing any item means begging to change a sentence later. Put renewals on an admin calendar. A snatched expired domain is worse than an ugly page. Failed overseas email: check DNS and anti-spam first, not sales copy.
On timeline, ICP is often left out of “two weeks of build.” It depends on entity paperwork. Reserve time. Overall pace: cost and timeline and From Brief to Launch. DaXi writes domain ownership, ICP help, and email into the plan so you do not learn after launch that the company does not own the site. To review a current domain, send the facts to the corporate website service page. Diligence looks at these surface details. See tenders and diligence.
Split staging and production. Editing on the live domain shows customers a break immediately. Sign off on a preview, then cut DNS. DNS takes time. Do not change it at noon on bid day.
If DNS, email, and hosting sit with different vendors, leave admin a relationship diagram. When people change, “who has the domain” breaks first. The diagram beats any verbal handover.
Do not bind admin SMS to a private number nobody will hand over. Use a role number or at least two people who can receive codes.
Check HTTPS, DNS, and email on the launch list. Do not wait for “unsafe” reports. Infrastructure, not extras — they decide whether you look like a real company.
After the live cut, open once on phone 4G and once on office network. Do not trust “it looks fine on office Wi-Fi.” ICP and certificate issues often show only outside.
Lead generation, brand, franchising, or due diligence — the goal changes the navigation and the first screen. Send your current situation and goal; engineering will come back with a plan you can execute.
