Location and progress

A construction system that is only a progress form will not be bought on site. The fight is two lines: physical progress versus payment progress. Material receipt without inspection, concealed work without photos and sign-off, changes without an instruction, quantities without a visum—miss one and settlement is both sides scrolling WeChat. We break the project into tasks and measure nodes; site quantities attach photos and location; material follows contract qty and inbound inspection; a change runs instruction to visum to settlement. Progress is not a weekly percentage—it matches location and quantities.

Weak site network

Sites have poor network and high turnover; reporting on a phone must be few steps and cache offline. Heavy back office is for PM office and HQ. Labor, subcontract, safety briefings, and expired special-trade certificates prevent stoppages and fines more than a progress wall. We make certificate expiry, site induction, and hazard close-out inspectable records, not a folder of scans nobody can find.

Cost follows location

Material waste and subcontract over-settlement usually mean location does not match. Rebar arrived but which building and floor is unclear; concrete poured and over-consumption has no cause. Issues and consumption hang on the workface where we can; subcontract quantities and supervisor review share the same location. HQ seeing project P&L must drill to changes and material, not only a lump-sum contract value.

Labor and safety

Crew in, crew out, attendance, and safety briefings often decide whether work can continue more than a progress percent. Expired special certificates and overdue hazard close-outs must be blocked, not scanned the day the inspector arrives. Photos archive by location and time so a concealed-work revisit can open them, not a personal camera roll. Employer-nominated and own subcontract quantity-review paths differ; permissions split.

One live project

Go-live picks one in-progress project as the pattern: inbound, inspection, change, quantities for a month, then other packages. Connect existing finance accounts, but site documents are the source. Training is site engineers, material clerks, and the PM. A project system that works means settlement talks against the same inbound, inspection, and change set—not memory fighting quantities.
