SimtoLink Launches Smart Agriculture Solution to Empower Modern Agricultural Development
Smart agriculture is the deep integration of modern information technology with the full chain of agricultural production, operations, management, and services.
Overview and challenges
Through IoT, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other technologies, it provides intelligent sensing, early warning, decision-making, and analysis of the production environment, plus online expert guidance, and supports precise planting, visual management, and intelligent decisions for agricultural production. The solution also focuses on raising yield, saving water, protecting food safety, and advancing green agriculture.
Key pain points in modern agriculture include unpredictable weather and frequent natural disasters, a high risk of crop loss, and a lack of effective warning and response. Pests and diseases are hard to identify, control lags, and pesticides are used improperly, which affects product quality and environmental safety. Traditional irrigation is extensive, water-use efficiency is low, and growing water scarcity constrains agriculture. The production process is not transparent, quality is hard to trace, and consumers lack confidence in food safety.
Core applications
Precision agriculture uses GPS positioning, remote sensing, soil sensors, and other equipment for precise field measurement and environmental monitoring. The system builds a digital map of the field, analyzes soil fertility, moisture, pests and diseases, and other information, and sets a differentiated planting plan. Combined with drone crop protection, intelligent farm machinery, and other equipment, it carries out precise seeding, fertilizing, and spraying, raising yield and quality as far as possible while reducing resource input and environmental pollution. Traditional planting relies on experience, lacks scientific data, and has unstable yield. Fertilizer and pesticide use is imprecise, which wastes resources and pollutes the environment. Pests and diseases are often found only after they have spread, so control costs more and works less well. Overuse of fertilizer and pesticide causes soil compaction and acidification. Technically, satellite remote sensing and drone inspection monitor crop growth and pests and diseases in real time. Multi-parameter soil sensors monitor soil nutrients and environmental indicators in real time. Fertilizer formulas and work plans are generated from soil and crop data. Intelligent farm machinery and drones raise the precision and efficiency of the work.
The intelligent irrigation system uses soil-moisture sensors, weather stations, crop-growth monitors, and other devices to collect soil moisture, climate, and crop water demand in real time. From the growth stage and the environment, the system calculates an optimal irrigation plan and supplies water precisely through drip and sprinkler equipment. It also supports integrated water and fertilizer management, applying fertilizer precisely while irrigating, which greatly raises water and fertilizer efficiency. Traditional flood irrigation wastes a great deal of water. Judging irrigation time by experience easily leads to over-watering or a shortage. Manual inspection and operation take time and effort. The system monitors soil temperature and humidity, EC, pH, and other parameters in real time, uses AI to analyze crop water-demand patterns, sets the irrigation strategy automatically, and supports remote monitoring and timed, metered irrigation on a mobile app. Integrated water and fertilizer are proportioned precisely, saving 30 percent of water and 20 percent of fertilizer.
The agricultural-product traceability system uses blockchain, IoT, QR codes, and other technologies to build a full-chain record from planting and production through processing and sales. The system records seed origin, the growing environment, agricultural inputs, harvest and processing, and other key information, and generates a unique product identity code. Consumers scan the code to see the full production history. Blockchain provides a tamper-resistant distributed ledger so the traceability information is reliable. AI image recognition automatically records crop growth and field work. Organic, green, and other authoritative marks are supported, which raises product value.
Results
Results of the smart agriculture solution include a 20 percent increase in crop yield, 30 percent less water use, 40 percent less pesticide use, and 25 percent lower labor cost.
