SimtoLink Launches Smart Connected Vehicle Solution to Empower Intelligent Transportation

March 10, 2025 DaXi Technology

The smart transportation solution is based on IoT, big data, artificial intelligence, and other advanced technologies. By deploying smart sensors, roadside units, and in-vehicle terminals, it senses traffic elements comprehensively and connects them.

Overview of smart transportation

The system collects road traffic volume, vehicle operating status, parking-space information, and other data in real time. AI algorithms analyze the data and optimize decisions, supporting intelligent traffic-signal control, vehicle-road coordination, smart parking guidance, and optimized public-transport dispatch. This eases congestion, improves travel efficiency, and keeps traffic safer, giving residents a more convenient and comfortable trip. The solution also raises road throughput, protects traffic safety, reduces energy use and emissions, and improves the travel experience.

Challenges facing traffic development

Key pain points in modern urban traffic include congestion, frequent accidents, difficult parking, and environmental pollution. Peak-hour road congestion lowers throughput, increases commute time and economic cost, and affects how the city runs. Traffic accidents happen often, threatening lives and property, and emergency response and handling still need to improve. Parking-space information is not transparent, finding a space takes a long time, utilization is low, and parking management is inefficient. Congestion leaves vehicles idling longer, increases exhaust emissions, and worsens air pollution and carbon emissions.

Core scenarios and results

The intelligent signal-control system deploys video detectors, geomagnetic sensors, radar, and other devices to collect traffic flow in each direction at an intersection in real time. Deep-learning algorithms analyze traffic-flow patterns, predict demand in upcoming periods, and adjust signal timing dynamically. At peak times the system automatically extends green time on the main road and shortens waiting time on side roads. In off-peak periods it optimizes the signal cycle and reduces unused green time. Coordinated control across intersections forms a green wave, raising arterial throughput by more than 30 percent, with millisecond-level data collection and decision response.

The vehicle-road coordination system uses C-V2X to exchange information in real time among vehicles, road infrastructure, pedestrians, and the cloud platform. Roadside units collect road conditions, traffic events, and signal status, and send them to in-vehicle terminals over 5G with latency below 20 ms. Drivers receive collision warnings, blind-spot alerts, traffic-light countdowns, and recommended speeds. Accident risk falls by 40 percent, and the system also supports environmental perception and decision-making for autonomous vehicles. The smart parking system monitors space occupancy in real time and supports seamless payment, shortening payment time by 90 percent. The smart transit system collects vehicle location, speed, and passenger flow in real time. Predicted arrival-time error is under one minute, average bus speed rises by 15 percent, and on-time performance rises by 20 percent. After implementation, congestion falls by 30 percent, commute time shortens by 25 percent, traffic accidents fall by 40 percent, and carbon emissions fall by 20 percent.
