SimtoLink: Test and silent periods can be edited in the console

February 8, 2025 DaXi Technology

EV charging operations connectivity is the data path between the charger or charging host and the operator platform, payment settlement, maintenance tickets, and, in some countries or regions, regulatory reporting systems. This article looks at it from grid-friendliness and continuity of operations: load reporting, delivery of orderly-charging policy, fault alerts, and asset management, rather than the power devices of DC fast charging or the physical layer of the connector cable.

Many sites are in underground parking or curbside bays, where laying fiber is expensive, so a cellular IoT SIM is one of the mainstream uplinks. Link stability directly affects the success rate of starting a session by scan and the completeness of settlement.

Transaction traffic, which is small, should be separated from firmware and log traffic, which is large, with separate queues and an off-peak window. For orderly charging, the platform needs to adjust the power setpoint dynamically from the margin of the distribution area, and the terminal needs to confirm execution and send a receipt.
