How the transaction happens
This page states the system boundary and the acceptance standard for this line of business. Whether a permit, a filing, or a special category is required follows the latest requirements of regulators and of platforms such as WeChat.
On the checkout page the user chooses a store that has stock. After payment, that store receives a picking task, and the user collects the goods with a code. If store A is out of stock, the user should be prompted to choose store B, not pay first and then have customer service coordinate.
The order is complete after store staff redeem it. If it is not collected within the published holding days, it is cancelled as published and the stock is returned.
The system and fulfillment need to check these items: stock by store; a check, before settlement, that the chosen store can sell; picking and redemption; stock returned when collection times out; returns going back to the redeeming store by default.
Where the template ends and custom work begins
A single-store pickup template can do this. Real stock across stores, and not selling goods that are in transit on a transfer, needs the inventory module configured as a project, and often an ERP connection. Virtually splitting central-warehouse stock across stores without a transfer leaves the store with no goods when the customer arrives. Acceptance must explicitly forbid that display.
What to look at during acceptance
When store A has stock 0 and store B has stock 1, choosing store A cannot pay, and choosing store B can. The redeeming store is B. After a timeout cancellation, store B's stock returns to 1.
Chain-store pickup and which store owns the stock is its own page, because the user chooses a store and stock is deducted at that store. The to-ship and signed states of ordinary courier retail do not cover this fulfillment.
Amounts or counts exported by headquarters must be splittable by store or by project number. A single total is not enough. Logs keep the operator and the time. Customer service cannot close a case only by editing a note.
